Whenever I got to put a chicken back into the coop, it crouches low and smacks its feet on the ground, pulls its wings away and looks like it is about to fly. I noticed that whenever it just walks around normally its wings aren't even with its body. The stick out a bit. I felt under the wing and there doesn't seem to be anything there blocking it from going flat. It is a hen and an ISA Brown. What do I do? Should I be worried?

I hope I can offer you some good news but do keep your bird under close observation. When a bird is too warm it will hold its wings slightly out and away from its body to vent excess heat. It is summer after all and its getting hot outside. Secondly the behavior you are describing sounds a bit like the submissive action Hens preform for their Rooster to allow mating to happen. This is also normal as in the absence of a Rooster you are the dominant member of the flock so to speak. How old is she and how many chickens do you have?
 
She started to lay in Januaray-February. She does have water. I just noticed this today and it has been really hot today.
 
I I'm not sure there is reason to worry at this point but do keep am eye on her and see if there are any other issues that crop up.
 
Ok. Thank you so much. Do you know where I could possibly get cheap fertilized eggs? I got an incubator and I want to try hatching.

Well cheap is not always the way to go. Regardless the question would be what breed are you looking to get? Many commercial hatcheries sell fertilized eggs but of course if you can get eggs from a breeder locally that would be ideal.
 
ok. I am looking for isa browns. i got 3 eggs last time and it cost 75 dollars online. None of them hatched. They didnt even look fertilized. I dont want to make the same mistake again.
