I'm chimming in for some good luck as well. My hens are in different age ranges. Some have been showing the egg laying signs for at least 2 weeks now. 2 days ago at 6:30 a.m. Hubby woke me up and said something was wrong with the chickens. I went to the kitchen and could hear LOUD egg song celebration going on in the coop. Even the rooster was singing and dancing. I ran outside and watched without disturbing them. It lasted at least 5 minutes! When they went quiet. I rushed to the coop to get my first egg...NOTHING! Still no eggs 2 days later.
Congrats!
Great app @Rock Home Isle ! Just what I need for me to obsess over my 14 week old hens as they approach their first egg.Congratulations that is great news!
Looks like you guys have me beat. According to my Flock Plenty app, my girls are only 13 weeks 3 days today.
I still have awhile I guess.
Congrats!
Do you mind posting a clear image of the comb and wattles for comparison.
Thanks, nice looking little red. Mine are not that far along just yet.
Will do. Mine are almost 17 weeks so it shouldn't be too much longer, maybe a month or so.Your welcome. Post picks of your first and the proud layer when it happens.
