My sons class at school hatched chickens. We were told Copper Maran and/or Austrolorp. We're also told three of the four were female but I'm afraid they may have been wrong. I have two with the copper necks and yellow feathered legs and both have the same combs. I have two with black feathered legs, one has a red large Comb but wouldn't cooperate.

The chick in back is the one with black feathered legs that might be a roo. It's got a double comb?? Obviously I'm no expert. :). Thanks in advance!

cockerel
pullet
three cockerels

The straight combed birds look like Marans or marans mixes. The odd combed bird looks to have a rose comb, not something one finds in Marans or Australorps. Wyandottes are the first rose combed bird that comes to mind, they're pretty common.

Great! That means they had the chicks labeled completely backwards. :) could you help me with two more? I got these at a feed store. Both are supposed to be buff Orpington pullets.

Sorry - I'm posting from a phone. Here is the one that is aggressive and I think might be a rooster. The orange one front and center.

I can't see the lighter bird too well, but I'm getting an Easter egger vibe. Probably pullet, but a better pic would be great.
the other bird looks like a red sex link pullet.

Here is a different pic of them both. I got 10 chickens from a few different sources and so far 1 has been the correct breed and sex. Would be ok with an EE and some colored eggs though. :)
