Hey all, my family and I are new to the chicken scene. We have 6 Buff Orpingtons that are just over a month old, and we have just evicted them from our basement into their new coop and run.....needless to say, they love the new digs.

Last year, our kids came to us and said they really wanted chickens, so we told them if they got really good grades all year, we would get the chickens. Well, they did great....and we now have chickens. This forum has been very helpful in our selection of breed and other important information. I figured now we have chickens, it was time to join up.....so here we are!
