2 things actually, roosters foot got caught in fencing yesterday for probably an hour, we got him out but today he isn't putting any weight on it. Hes acting normal otherwise and its not swollen. I assume I should give it a few days.
But the other issue is, he has the biggest talens I have ever seen, they have to be at least 6 inches long and they are out the side of his foot and curl. The problem is the one is now starting to curl into his top of the leg and we noticed its actually hard for him to walk now since they are getting tangled up in each other. I have watched videos about removing them with pliers, which I am nervous about but think my daughter and I can do it. Question, there really isn't an option separating him from the 6 hens I have, will they bother the the piece that is left when I remove the nail? Also, should I wait and make sure his foot is ok before I do this as not to stress him even more? Can someone reassure me on the removal! I almost died when I saw how they do it. I am capable but nervous none the less.
Thank you!
