I just released my 6 chicks into the run with the other 6 that I already had. You get ones are about 9 weeks older ones are about 16 weeks. The younger ones have been in a separate cage for about 2 and a half weeks inside of the coop so the older ones would start to get used to them. The older ones are pecking at them a little more than I thought they would. My question is how long should I expect the older ones to peck at the younger ones before they all "get along"??

I was literally in a near identical situation as you. I had introduced chicks to older chicks with a 7 week age difference. The pecking was really bad at first and the younger chicks learned to keep their distance and learned the pecking order. It took about a month and a half but now they've all settled down and get along just together.

A month? Wow. Yes they are keeping their distance and compared to other topics I've read the older ones are not pecking at the little ones as much as other stories I've read. So maybe my situation isnt as bad as I thought. Thanks!!
