Ok so maybe naming the chick six piece wasn't a very good omen, my daughters silver Wyandotte is limping. No obvious injuries, was doing fine just last night. We separated her but her other brood mates can still see her and such. Her own food and water and light. She is only 5 days old.
Any tips for me? Am I doing the right thing separating her?
I've heard people giving baby chicks vitamin b complex in their water, should I do that?
Sorry for the paranoia but I would like to do right by the little babies and help them have a happy little life.

She can be with the other chicks as long as she is not getting trampled. I would let her spend some supervised time with them, so that she will eat better. Look at some threads about slipped tendons, just in case she has that. Leg bone deformities in volving the tendons can be common. I would recommend chick vitamins including B complex and make sure they contain riboflavin. A picture of her standing may also help.

This is poor little six piece. She doesn't seem interested in food, and I've had her drink water. Poor girl hobbles like she doesn't want to put weight on the one leg. There is no obvious break. I have nature made stress vitamin b complex, but nothing chicken specific as yet. Is that safe to grind and add to water? When you pick her up her leg doesn't go out, she tries to move it but there's no movement.
