I noticed Sunday night one of my BL was panting in a nest box were she generally goes to roost. It was quite warm here but I didn't think enough for her to be panting. I felt her belly and I'm pretty sure there is an egg stuck. I did the warm Epsom bath Sunday night and let her go back to roost. It was even warmer Monday but with no egg I did the warm bath again and got some extra calcium in her. Checked the vent and I can feel the egg. This morning still no egg! I did the warm bath again. A little cooler today so did it for a full 30 min. Fed her more calcium and massaged her belly.
I feel what I can best describe as bubbles when I rub her belly. The egg is not moving.
This is her rump as of today. It's not very red or warm feeling. That has got to be an egg at the bottom. If not it's a very hard perfectly egg shaped tumor.
She is eating and pooping. Acting normal. She's not keen on human contact and is much calmer with the flock so after treatment I dry her off and put her back with her sisters.
How long can this go on? How much calcium can I give her in a day? I feel like I'm doing all I can but I want to be sure.
Thanks
