I have a hen with 4, 10 day old chicks. I also have a flock which contains 4 boven hens, two big buff orpingtons, and one litter white bantem. The main flock sleeps in a coop about 4 by 6 feet, plenty of roosting and nesting space. I am wondering, and want to get as many opinions as I can. Can the hen and her chicks Br safe in the coop with the main flock. My only concern is if I don't wake up early enough, there could be a squabble in the coop in the morning, or will the broody hen protect the chicks till I can let them out. Please help me

Has the hen and chicks been staying in that coop already and is that her flock that they're all already running with? If not, I'd think it's asking for trouble. If that's already where she stays with her chicks then I think she'll take care of her chicks in there.
