When chopping the head off of a (dead) chicken, my husband accidentally missed and hit a breast, leaving a gaping wound and highly bruised/damaged meat on one side. I am wondering if this meat is still okay to eat, and, if not, whether I should cut it out before or after cooking?

Thanks!

What is the difference between that and minced chicken brest?

Oh OK, thanks for the input. I had heard that venison isn't good when bruised/damaged by bullets, but I guess that isn't the case with chicken. :)
