New to chickens

lol I grew up with parrots and love them but they are really loud and destructive and chew on everything in the house including window and door frames. Since i live in the country I constantly battle weeds in my back yard so the chickens and do whatever they want as long as they let me hold them and snuggle them lol - My kids have grown out of their wooden playground and since my husband built it to stay forever Im turning it into a chicken play land - Im hanging some perch swings where the swings were. Im using the monkey bars to make a covered shelter so they have shade and there are 2 platforms for them to play on
 
Sounds great! Welcome to BYC. Chickens are definitely a different dynamic than parrots, but you'll likely find that they're equally as lovable. How many chickens will you have in your flock? Feel free to post any questions you may have on the forum.
