Has anyone had chick's hatch with no mom sitting?!!

We are having chick's just pop up with no mom around. We have a half acre with a huge flock so they lay everywhere and sometimes there are huge piles of eggs before we find them. Is it possible random eggs are incubating and hatching on their own without a hen sitting on them? Anyone have this happen to them before?
 
Not possible unless your temperature stays in the mid 90s to about 101 day and night for 21 days straight.

You had a hen staying out of the coop at night sitting on a pile.
