Hi I have a wyandotte hen who's been incubating 4 eggs and its now day 19 (lockdown). I was just wondering if any users have experienced using a wyandotte as a mother hen as I've heard that they aren't really good mothers. Unsure if I should take them away at this point and lock them down in the incubator and raise them myself, or just leave them with the hen?

I would leave them, but watch carefully for any signs of her rejecting them or being rough on them.

I did have a previous broody before who killed one of the chicks as soon as they hatched. So what do you think I should do to prevent this?
