I ordered 19 chicks that were delivered back at the end of March from Cackle hatchery. The order was supposed to include 3 Golden laced Wyandottes and 3 Red laced Wyandottes. They threw in an extra one of everything I ordered except for a Red-laced Wyandotte.

I ended up with two very obvious Roosters - a Delaware and a Golden laced. But I'm confused about this one - I'm thinking it's a pullet but not 100% sure, nor am I sure if it's a golden laced or red laced.

Thoughts? Bird on the left.

Looks like a gold laced Wyandotte cockerel to me.

Just surprised at how different it is compared to the very obvious (crowing) cockerel. Same age...just seems interesting how different they look.

Just slightly different variations of the same coloring. Some are more gold/red, some are more black. Look at how the back feathers are the same shape for both of them. Both have the same long, thin, feathers. Now look at the pullet in the first picture. Hers are broad and rounded. Feathering doesn't lie.
