Hoping so! I have 2 with nice red combs and wattles and moist larger vents. One has 2 finger spaces between her pin bones, but no squatting yet.
One of mine has very impressive comb and waddles. Also very red. The others, not very big and patchy red. I have not felt the pelvic space yet. The funny thing is, the very red very large comb and waddles (Australorp) just stares at the nest box. The 2 younger ones (by a week) both sit on the ceramic eggs in the nest. Its super cute. They are EE's. No intersting activity from the RIR, nor from the Barred Rocks. Just the two youngest EE. It's funny how much we stalk our chickens around this age, ha ha.
