Ima keep looking and if that's my only option ima just go with them to try and get started. I have barred rocks, Rhode island reds, jersey giants, black Australorps, buff Orpington, and eater eggers and none of them I would call a good meat bird even tho through my reading the barred rocks and Australorps are supposed to be decent meat birds. But I did get them with the intention of breeding for meat and eggs. Both great egg layers. Hopefully when the giants get bigger they will fill out more but as of now "14 weeks" they all are not ready to eat lol. I do have some birds over a year old that where given to me and I wouldn't say they have alot of meat on them either.
