I have RI Reds and White leghorns (six total). One of the Rhodys has patch of missing feathers on head and lower back. The area around her bottom is bright red with thin feathers. Lots of exposed red skin.

I thought lice/mites...treated with DE, but no luck. I wondered if it was molting (chickens are now 2 years old)...but has been going on for several months. She doesn't seem to be in distress but then again, I can't communicate with her!

All six hens occupy the same coop, drink from same waterer, and eat same laying pellets. But, she's the ONLY one with the skin condition.

Any suggestions or advice would be most welcome.

Thanks. roosters
