I just got this hen from a farm nearby. I think the feathers are missing due to overcrowding.

Also, what breed is she?

It looks to me like possible over mating from a rooster? They will pull out feathers at the head and neck and it looks like there are missing feathers at the base of the tail?? That also will indicate too much rooster mating. She doesn't appear to have mites and it doesn't look like aggression, I don't think.

The bare spot on her belly can be common with layers....they go into the nest box and pluck feathers as they lay an egg. Eventually their lower breasts are bald.

Maybe someone else will chime in here, but I think it's over mating from a rooster.
