Hello! I have a mixed flock of older Australorps, Partridge Rock, & EE, with newly laying Buffs, 2 Longhorns, Silver Laced Wayondottes, Barred Rock, RIRs, and 3 EE's. Out of these breeds, I should be getting 2 white eggs, and the others brown, green, blue, pink, ect., Right? My young girls have recently started laying the last few weeks. I'm now getting 3 white eggs. Is one of my Longhorns laying 2 eggs, or are one of my EE's giving me a white egg. I've yet to get a colored egg from my 3 young EE's. (I have an older one who gives a large greed one). I'm baffled as to where this 3rd white egg is coming from! My 2 Longhorns have been laying for a month now, but just this past week or so have I been getting 3 white eggs a day. Thanks!

:welcome

From what I understand, EEs are mixed breed chickens that can lay anything from white to brown to green to blue eggs, and anything in between. So yes - it's more likely that you have an EE laying a white egg than it would be for one of your leghorns to be laying two eggs.

Is there a secret to uploading pics from an iPhone? I've hit the icon above, then chose the upload from device, but it won't go any farther.

I get a whiteish pink egg from one of my EEs. It is white with a slight pink cast. I get two shades of green, two shades of blue, and the whiteish from my EEs. I think it's pretty odd too because she has the head poof and floppy comb of a Creme Legbar.

Just uploaded this from my iPhone. Not sure what you're having trouble with. I did get what I thought was a black screen, but I just needed to scroll the page down to show the upload from device buttons.

That threw me at first, too. You have to scroll down when you see the black screen to take the next step. Then tap upload from my device and pick a picture from your library -the option should pop up at the bottom of your screen.

My iPhone uploads much easier than when I'm on my laptop!
