So I just recently moved the 2 houses together to make it bigger and they are now laying in the other house and pooping where they were nesting in the other. Any advice?
Why do my chickens poop in the coop where they were laying eggs?

Sounds to me like they've started roosting in the nests with the poop in them. Are any chickens laying in those nest boxes? If not, I'd block those off and see how it goes.

If the nesting box is higher then the roosts or there are not enough high roosts they will sleep/roost in it at night. And they poop all night. mistake i mad when building my first coop.
Confusing but it sounds like the nests were moved into the new part of the coop and the birds are pooping in the old part of the coop????
