Roosters in South Bay Area

Hi all,

We are a happy family of backyard chicken owners in the Santa Cruz mountains. However, through an amazing run of fortune (sexed hen chicks) we have ended up with 5 roosters for our 5 hens. It's just too many roosters. This post is in the unlikely hope that someone out there is short a rooster and would like one for their family. These are not for food obviously, we'll keep them in that case. We have a system, they go to the shed every night, but it's a lot of work. And we have to keep them separated from the hens because it's just too much for the hens. That said, let me introduce

The new guy. My daughter thought the sexed chick looked unique. Sure enough that's cause she was a rooster.

These two guys were supposed to be Banty hens. I think they are some kind of mixture. They might even been brothers. They stick close to each other.

Here is the Handsome big guy. Really gentle with people. I'd keep him but my daughter wants to keep the 5th rooster, not shown here.
