Above the Rest
Plot: It is Earth. Year 2020 There has been a enormous chemical outburst in America, covering the whole continent. The company AstroCo, located in Kansas, had been manufacturing a type of nuclear gas. Unfortunately, the whole plant as blown up, exposing the gas to the whole United States. This chemical gas has almost killed the whole population. The few survivors have journeyed to Atlanta, GA, one of the few places not exposed completely. There are wired side effects of being exposed to the gas. That is, if you don't get killed by it. Mutant.species have been unleashed, altered humans. Will you survive?

A) By participating in this game, I promise that all BYC Rules will be followed and that I have read and understood the Role Play Rules that are in a sticky at the top of the Games forum.
B) I promise that all content is to be rated G and suitable for all ages.
C) I promise that there will be no swearing, cursing (including censoring by using symbols) or inappropriate adult sexual activity or innuendo. This extends to mating, breeding or innuendo in non-human characters as well.
D) I promise to treat others with respect and kindness as is the BYC way.
E) I promise not to post any material that is a violation of copyright. Basically this means: if you didn't create the content (like an image / picture) and don't have direct permission from the content creator to post it, then don't.

Mutant species:

Whisperers: Humans that have a dark aura around them. They can turn invisible, and can teleport. They often twitch

Twitchers: Humans that have developed endless muscle spasms. They are cannibals, and eat normal humans and others.

Bastions: Humans that have developed metal growth on them, often sharp blades.

Sleepers: Humans that have the powers to hypnotize with their eyes. They walk very slow, and their eyes are all white.

The Hive: Basically, zombies. They are humans with bumps all over their skin. They have red eyes, and try to eat other humans. Getting bit by one infects you. They are extremely fast.

Girlfriend/boyfriend?: None
Personality: Quiet, serious, doesn't usually get emotional, and keeps to himself, he's normally well collected around others of any species but doesn't like company and he doesn't stay in one place long
Description: 6'2 with chocolate colored skin, warm dark amber eyes, and close cut black hair. He usually wears a normal plain dark orange long sleeved shirt and dark brown cargo pants. His left eye brow is pierced with a small diamond
Other: I don't see much African American characters and this is my first time making one, so yay new things
History: Nick lived in a small apartment building and wasn't one for company, even his family. When the gas at AstroCo, the place where he worked leaked he was one of the first to be hit by the gas and was passed out for a week before waking up mutated and completely confused by what happened. Nick quickly put two and two together and is now surviving on his own
Weapons: Nick has four pistols that are always loaded and he makes sure he always has extra bullets, also has a long switch blade but he usually doesn't have to use any of the weapons as he has mastered his mutations

Personality: She's actually horribly skittish, clumsy, and has trust issues, she's scared of this new world but keeps moving on, she can be scary and a fierce opponent in battle and if she trust someone she will become super loyal to that said person
Description: Only 4'8 it's hard to take her seriously. She is a pale white and little freckles cross her face, shoulders, and a few appear on her legs and arms. She has bright long red hair, often put up in a messy bun, and she has bright green blue eyes and she wears glasses. She wears black yoga pants and a dark grey hoodie, which the hood is always on, she also wears a dark blue almost black scarf and carries around a black backpack. She doesn't know how to fully control her mutations and she has small 3 inch blades over lapping on her back and on the top of her arms along with one blade over both her eye brows, in this state the blades act like strong armor but if she feels to much fear or anger the blades spike out into sharp deadly 3 feet weapons that still act as armor.
Other: Nothing too new, just the skittish nerdy character that is secretly awesome
History: When Willow was 6 she was at school when she got the news that her mom had died in a car accident, and now you'll always see Willow wearing her mother's dark blue scarf. With no family to take her in she became an orphan and no one really understood her love for technology and books as she hopped for foster home from foster home never connecting with anyone. When the gas leak happened she was in a foster home, when she came to she was horrified by what it had done to her and the world, though the mutations some how have fixed her once terrible eye sight she still wears the glasses frame because Willow is used to them. Now Willow is looking for any safe place to stay
Weapons: She can't control her blades that well and she bad at using most weapons so she tries to avoid fights but she does carry a black backpack that carries her weapons and other stuff

Personality: Bitter and thinks she's always right and doing right, she doesn't really care for much of anything
Description: 5'4 with creamy tan skin, cold hazel eyes, and slightly passed shoulder length brown hair. She wears a dark brown leather jacket over a red shirt and she wears slightly faded jeans. She's always wearing a lot of simple jewelry.
Other: Just a bad guy feeling character
History:She was known for stealing and getting into fights and all types of other trouble her whole life. Luckily for Terra she lived in the safe zone when the gas leaked so she has no mutations. She strongly believes all mutated people are demons and you can mainly see her killing any and all mutated that want to get into the safe zone
Weapons: close combat she's know for using two wicked jagged daggers and for long distance she uses a powerful sniper rifle with a strong scope or a cross bow she's taken a liking to, but of course she has more weapons

Description:Medium-length, dirty blond hair that goes down to his neck. Always finds a way to keep it slick and combed. Has darker blue eyes than most, and a clean face. He is semi-muscular. HAs steel almost all over his body, except for feet and face. He cannot stick them out, so he uses them as armor instead.

History:His whole family died when they went camping together. As he was left behind, he survived, but mutated into a Bastion

Personality:She is extremely weak in mind. She wants someone else to support her, as she is scared and weak. She cries to herself, reminding herself of her family turning into Hive in front of her and her having to kill all of them
Description:5 '5, with long, black hair that reaches down to her waist. She is extremely pale. She has a sort of yellowish hue in her eyes, which are often puffy, due to her crying. Most people would call her extremely pretty.

History:Her family were infected and turned into Hive in front of her. She had to shoot all of them, and vows to never touch a gun again. She migrated to Atlanta all the way from Texas.
Weapons:She is so good at hypnotizing, that she only carries a small knife

History:His family died while he was away at college. He has migrated to Atlanta from Massachusetts
Weapons:Two poison coated knives. He has controlled all his powers

Nick was walking through a destroyed city, he watched closely for any signs of life as he sneaks down a large road passing destroyed cars and long abandoned stores

Willow was lying under a bridge, she had been chased by some Hive but now none were in sight but Willow wasn't gonna move from this slightly safe place just yet

~

Terra looked out into the non safe world from the wall the humans have built around the safe place, she was waiting for anything that would want to come in here and cause trouble so she could shoot it down

Willow had her eyes closed and was breathing slightly heavy from running, so she didn't notice Peter walking to her

Nick was tried of walking and sits down in front of a building, he watched dust roll around the street as he drank water he had found the day before
