I have 3 free range turkeys - 1 male (1 yr+) and 2 females (@10months). I bring the turkeys into a coop every night. Last night one of the females was missing. This morning she appeared around 8 am ---it looked like she came out from under my pickup truck which was near the coop. This afternoon when I got home she was gone again. I suspect she is broody but thought she would lay in the coop as there are plenty of nesting boxes and privacy. I suspect she has a nest on our acreage (5 acres) but I have searched high and low. We are surrounded by undeveloped property but have a fence. The turkeys have never tried to fly/jump over the fence. Is it possible she has a nest in that property....we have bushes, etc, but I have looked everywhere. I would like to find her nest and move her to the coop. Any suggestions as to where she is hiding? Thanks!
