Hi! I have 2 15 week old pekin females..I was wondering around what age people start adding oyster shells to the duck feed? Or if anyone doesn't do this? I have heard this is a great source of calcium and can help them while laying eggs to help prevent becoming egg bound. Any feedback is appreciated!

Hi! You could start giving them oyster shells around 20 weeks old. It would be best to put the oyster shells in a separate dish for them.

I added it to her feed when she was around 6 months because she might start laying soon. I would add when they start laying or before. I don't know when Pekin start laying usually but around that time of their age I would add it.
