Rooster or hen?!?

Hi !
I have three chickens, and I think one might be a roo! Two of my hens started laying last week and the 3rd hasnt. I just can't figure out which one between the two is laying! (One I know is for sure)
I was wondering if there are good things to look for to tell the difference?
They are all aproximately 4 months old

They all look like they're laying, honestly. If one isn't for sure, my guess would be Soar, but it's just a matter of time.

Oh wow! That's great! Thank you! Lol how do you tell?! I clearly can't figure it out! And you can even tell when they are laying?! You are amazing!

When a hen is reaching sexual maturity and getting ready to start laying eggs, her comb and wattles start growing larger, get plumper and redder. This is actually a sign to any roosters around she's maturing and ready for mating. For us humans, it means eggs are incoming

. The red comb and wattles tend to throw folks off, though, and make them paraniod about the birds being male.

I say Soar may be the one not laying becasue her comb looks a touch smaller and paler than Dixie's. It's pretty subtle, though, so I'm really thinking either she's laying now and you don't realize it, or she's going to start pretty much any day now.

If hens get ill, or go broody, or when they molt, their combs lose that vibrant red color and shrivel a bit. This is a sign to a rooster they're not a good potential mate at this point. Doesn't necessarily stop a rooster from mating them

but it gives humans a nice measure of the hen's health.
