Advice needed on weather to get golden pheasants

I currently have a young yellow golden male (~12 weeks old) and two red golden females. I want to get a red golden male so I can have both colors in the aviary, but I'm worried they won't get along. I'm thinking /hoping if I get another young pair the males will grow up together and not be as aggressive. What do you guys think? Also would a 10' x 15' pen be ok for 5 pheasants?
 
I have 4 male pheasants in my aviary right now with 4 females of 3 different kinds and they all get along fine. I have heard that by the end of December you need to have them in their own breeding pens until the end of the breeding season, otherwise they will fight over the females.

You heard right.Not only will they fight,you will probably lose 1 or 2 in the fighting.They begin there courtship in early Jan and their breeding will start soon after.I have had better luck with breeding by leaving them in their own pens year round.When you move them around they need time to adjust to their new home and sometimes will slow down the laying season if moved close to breeding season.

I wish we had built breeding pens instead, Tony but we were new to Pheasants and were unaware. Now, we have this big Pheasant Aviary so might as well use it, I suppose. Goodluck with your pheasants !@Israels
 
Thanks for your input guys! I only have the one pen, so I think I will hold off on getting more for now. Or maybe I will sell the females and keep a male only pen..... Does anyone have pictures/info of what you get from a yellow male and red female?? Im interested in how the genetics works for these guys do you get an intermediate color or do you get some yellow and some red, or all red? My guess is that they would all be red since thats the wild type color and probably dominant. If anyone knows for sure please let me know.

The offspring between a Red Golden and a Yellow Golden will all be Red Golden by phenotype, because the Red gene is dominant. Genotypically they will carry the Yellow gene. There won't be any mixing of color.
