I've been thinking about getting two dairy goat nannies I'd really like the milk but I need to know if it's worth it to get a buck and how often they can breed and how old they have to be to breed and how much feed they eat and how much hay

Your best first step is to get a book for beginners. Go onto amazon.com and see what you can find. The Story books are usually good. Go to www.caprinesupply.com and send for their catalog. The catalog is full of useful information. You can also get information at the farm adviser's office. Get the booklets made for 4Hers. As for a buck, for just a few does you are far better off to take them some place to be bred than to fool with a buck. As to how old they should be before they are bred, it depends on their size and condition.
