Has anyone mixed essential oils in their chicken/ quail food ? If you have how did you do it? Do you just pour it in the feed and mix? Do yo use a carrier oil?

I'm curious for what purpose? I've never heard of anyone (let alone quail) consuming/eating essential oils.

Why would you do this?

But I I did do it I would mist it onto their food or mix it with their water.

I've been looking at a few scientific studies on egg production and body weight using essential oils in Japanese Coturnix Quail. The articles explain what they did in the study, however I was just wondering if anyone has tried this or know how to do this in a non laboratory setting. The study actually says that they mixed the EOM (essential oil mixture) with zeolite but it doesn't say how they did it. There is more info in the article that is very interesting especially when you look at other sources and get similar results.
