BABY DUCK ADVICE and Qs???!! (ASAP please)

I just received this duckling from a friend. He said the other two died by getting stuck in wide gaged chicken wire(I use super small). I dont know if it's a girl or a boy i dont know what kind of duck he/she is or the age.
I was so excited I didn't ask. Also what snacks can I give he/she? I have never had ducks before, only chickens.

No guesses on the breed, and unless you know how to vent sex safely, you won't know the gender until their voices or feathers come in. Beware of letting the duckling swim/get wet at this point, especially if you don't have a heat lamp, as they can have serious problems if they get/stay cold. Hope it all goes well, it looks so cute!
ETA: It looks only about 1 week old. If you can, you may want to get another duckling, as they are very social birds and won't do as well without a companion.

I can't get close up but does look like a tiny Muscovy duckling. Will be barred in coloring. Yes it needs a companion they really like to have their own kind of company. Also while your looking for a friend for it put a cuddly stuffed animal in with it and a non breakable mirror .

I actually already gave it a little **** toy we got out of a claw grab machine.
I just moved to NC and i dont know that many people. I don't know where to get another duck.. Does it matter if I find one that's a different breed?

@kitty22496 Carolina water fowl is in Indian Trail outside of Charlotte. and I believe there is another rescue in the eastern part of the state too. Look on craigs list also and check feed stores they may know of someone. Better pic of it's lil face.

Different breed would be okay but another Muscovy would be better actually Muscovy's and other domestic ducks speak a different language.
