Posted my first thread without readig my message sorry about that.
I am raising ducks rouen or mallards not sure yet been told one or the other, but they have a nest of 6 eggs right now I was lucky when I picked two ducklings 7 months ago one male one female.
I have turkeys, I started with 4 white and 6 heritage now down to 1 white Tom and 4 heritage
And I have chickens, I am not sure on the kind and will eventually ask because not sure on the kind but I know I have 4 cocks and 8 hens I believe.

Hello and Welcome to Backyard chickens! It sounds like you have quite the selection of poultry! The link I attached below, you can ask about what breeds you have that you do not know about and you can ask what gender they are if you do not know. Yay for ducks! I love ducks, my first every poultry animal was one orphan duckling that I named Milton. I loved that little guy.

I will definitely check out that link! I loved lurking on here before. I started as soon as I got my babies, I can't wait till my lil ones start to sit. Which from what I read on here is when they have a clutch of eggs, which is around 10? They have six now, in a little dug out hole they made. I am just hoping the eggs don't go bad before they start sitting as we been getting a lot of rain.
Now off to lurk on some more threads!!

Welcome to BYC! It's great to have you.

I've got Rouens and have a close friend who keeps Mallards... the Rouens are MUCH larger than the Mallards. Mallards are maybe 3, 4 pounds... Rouens are 6-8. Longer, taller, heavier frame.

Rouens look like mallards on steroids. Now that you are a member you don't need to lurk, you can participate - it's a lot more fun.

O I will participate, I have a question tho, my Rouen buried her 7 eggs last night, is it because of the rain or is she not going to sit them?
