Hatching
I started the season with 6 Guinea hens, lost 1 to a coyote attack, and just last week had 1 acting extremely strange. All of my chickens free range during the day, and last week one day when they were in my garden I started watching 1 extra closely as he laid under my front porch, while all the others followed me around. Usually my Guineas travel together so I thought it was weird and that maybe I mistook my male for a female who was laying? I kept checking on him every half hour, and he remained in pretty much the same spot for a couple of hours.Until finally I went out, checked under the porch and didn't see him, I was looking around everywhere , stepped up into my garden and literally almost stepped on him,
he was laying about 4ft away from where he had been.. Dead. So sad and at the same time i Was scared for the rest of my flock , so i have since given them apple cider vinegar water just as a precautionary, and watched them closely... Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary? Anyone have any ideas on what could've happened?
