New Refrigerators - anyone have advice or warnings?

We bought a Samsung French Door Counter Depth for our house and have lost power quite a few times since we have owned it and so far have never lost the programming or the food in the freezer. We bought a Whirlpool for our apartment and so far that has been good too. We replaced an Amana which is made by Whirlpool.
Update on our repaired GE - ice is great and have loads, and no leaks at all at 24 hours:)

Wonder what the difference is to lose the settings or not to lose them?

@cmom Hope the Whirlpool gives you many years of service :)

My oven is a Whirlpool and is about 25 years old - have replaced both elements and a thermostat but still bakes great.

I've had exceptional luck with large appliances - except dishwashers. Am on the 3rd in 25 years

I do like the one I have now, but have had to repair rusted/broken wires in the roll out baskets on the newer model. The elders died before any problems at all with those parts.
