LOL, too bad you're on the other side of the country.... my emus have eggs in their run just waiting for someone to collect them wink.

Who knew chickens and ducks could be so much fun?

The critters....  3 horses, 2 llamas, 2 goats, 2 emus, 3 dogs, 8 cats, 1 turtle, 13 chickens, 3 ducks and 18 turkeys.

I bought two a while back and put them in one of the little syrofoam inubators. It took 55 days to hatch.I hand turned them two times a day. One hatched on mother's day. He followed us all over the place. Now he's about four 1/2 ft tall and runs in a pen with our ducks and tom turkey. Now I have two more in the bator!! To try it again.

Chickens I raise are: Standard Mohawk Rhode Island Reds, SQ Dark Brahmas,SQ Light Brahmas,English Buff Orpingtons,  English BBS Orpington, BBred Phoenix, Black Copper Marans, and  Paint Silkies,
Other Birds: Pigeons, Call Ducks, SQ Exhibition Rouens,SQ White Runner Ducks,  Fawn and White Runner Ducks, Roman Geese, and 4 Emus

I love the picture of the Silkie trying to hatch the emu eggs!  That is just so cute!  I wonder what she was thinking when they didn't hatch!

OMG I am really considering buying one or two. If I do, do you think I could have a chance of actually hatching them??
