How do you feed a baby dove chick that just hatched? and how many times a day should I feed it? Please someone tell me the process like first day=amount of feeding, seventh day=amount of feeding, 1-3 weeks=amount of feeding per day and 1 month=amount of feeding per day.

I would really appreciate someone whose very experience with raising doves and pigeons would reply and help.

Oh, and what if its a small dove like a common ground dove? how many times a day should i feed a baby ruddy ground dove (we don't have common ground doves here in the Caribbean(Trinidad)) so ya,

Thank you

I would really appreciate someone whose very experience with raising doves and pigeons would reply and help. You must keep the squab warm at all times or it will parish. Warm raw egg yolk I have fed to squabs with success when first hatched. I have been raising pigeons for decades and have hand reared squabs form just being hatched. In a lot of cases what your are attempting ends badly even for experienced pigeon fanciers. The older the squab is when you attempt hand feeding the better chance you have.

Sorry but i can't afford that formula, i live in the Caribbean (Trinidad) and I have never seen that formula anywhere, I'll just have to use the Pellets alone? would that work?? for new born chicks, and older chicks from 6-20 days old

I don't think pellets don't work for new baby. It should be sort of liquidly or past . I heard Ensure( humans nutrient drink) or human baby food high protein one is good. My dove started eat solid food from about 20days old. I gave him quinoas or maybe millets Regular pellet is too big for them.

So you can't wet them to get soft and squishy? and can I use the Baby formula: Nestum Wheat and Honey or Nestle Klim Growing up? I really need to know how to feed a new born chick cause they are soo fragile, what will work best with that bird formula?

Sorry , I am not sure both , but I looked up the product both of them are good. Yes, make little squishy and day by day less water . Geber baby food in glass jar is good too.
I cut plastic zip bag corner little bigger than baby's beak and stick the beak in the corner of plastic bag.

I reserched , Geber brand oatmeal is good. Important make liitle wamer , don't fewd cold . Becareful ro use microwave, some time it makes bits hot. Baby get barn. Use pan to about 105F.

Hi this is Akiko again. Dove is vegetarin so feed vegitable base. Not Nestle klim and Nestum. I am sorry. Some Gaber brand vegitable one is good.

Aw, so my only option is the pellets, so the nestum and Klim is out? I can't buy Gerber cause I don't see that selling anywhere. Thanks though
