Baby dove squab feeding???

Cool, Thanks, The Kaytee Exact bird feeding formula is there anything similar that I can use instead of that formula? how do I make that it? what do I use? and if I was to buy that formula? would it last till its fully adult? do I keep using it? when do I stop feeding baby doves the formula?

And i'm not only referring to baby pigeons and doves like normal racing pigeons or Ringneck doves or Diamond doves, I'm also referring to Ruddy Ground dove chicks? do I feed them the same thing?

Kaytee exact is not only for dove, any hand feeding baby bird. I don't know other similar prducts. You can ask at pet shop. If you can find similar fomula, it may have direction on the package. At very young age you need to use plastic bag that I wrote before, then from spoon and from small bowl , baby can eat by themself. The formula is only for baby, I don't know if you feed forever only formula how old they keep eating that, but I think they have to eat seeds, when baby can eat. That's nature. Once they start seed, they don't want to eat formula. Where do you live? In Us?
Because Gaber brand baby food are all over the in the market.

What exactly are you planning to do hand rearing all these different dove and pigeon chicks? Where are you getting them from?

I hope you are not taking baby birds from the wild.

Doves and pigeons are very difficult to hand raise from day one. Most will die, or grow up small and stunted with impaired immune system.

This is why they are not hand reared like parrots.

What is the reason you are hand rearing them?

They need the special PIGEON MILK from thier parents for the first few days of life.. They antiboibies from this as well and nutrition.

The only time to hand rear a dove of pigeon is in an emergency if its lost both its parents.

Oh, you are in Carribean, sounds like many diffrent type of doves at there. I only see zebra doves and few speckle doves in my area. How is your baby now?

Their are loads of different species of dove where I am from, I'm just soo interested in doves and all the different species, so in the case of emergency and I can't get the formula I'll know what I'll need incase, but if I was stalking a pair that has a chicks, I wouldn't see steal them at the very young stages I would of stole them when they are feathered and able to walk around in their nest
 
By Ringneck doves have never made any baby's yet, I only got the males in January 2016 and the female in August (2016), The pet store owner said that I put the female in the cage they would already connect and want to mate right away after a couple days? but eh i'm still waiting.

I live in the Caribbean country called Trinidad, so much exotic medium size birds here.
 
Lucky you.Ring neck dove is beautiful ! I want to have a diamond dove or another dove. I asked pet shop , but I still waiting. Pet shop dosen't know that they can get or not.They said it is very expensive to ship to Hawaii from main land Us, also difficult to get femal, bcause Hawaii don't want birds and other animals increase, I think. And some time they died when they arrive at Hawaii…. Take care your birds and Good luck. Aloha
