It's currently day 23 and my eggs have still shown no sign of pipping but I this morning I could hear peeping and movement/pecking inside of the egg. I'm concerned that the chick may be struggling, should I help out? What should i do?!

It sounds as though your temps may have been a tad off on the low side. When you counted the days, did you count the day you set, or did you start your count 24 hours after set?

The peeping from inside is a sign that they have internally pipped and are making progress. This is a good thing!! The bad news is that the hatching process can take a lot of time. The progress from internal pip to external pip can take a full 24 hours, (or much less) and once they have externally pipped, they can take another 24 hours before they start zipping to come out. It is common for later hatchers to be weaker and have more problems. If you are really day 23, I would have some sav a chick electrolyte on hand, (or other means of electrolyte) or sugar water to offer them once they are in the brooder. Good luck on the hatch.
