Comparing Brinsea Advanced and Hova-Bator 1583 picture window

Congrats! Let the pampering begin!

Mine are due tomorrow night barring any early arrivals.

Day 17, end of the day update. It has been a long day! 25 hatched from Hova-Bator so far out of 38; 13 came in the first wave and 12 in the second wave. 1 hatched so far in Brinsea out of 12.

Day 18. Overnight all eggs (12) hatched in Brinsea and 1 more hatched in Hova-Bator. There are 12 eggs that remain in Hova-Bator.

According to Coturnix revolution book I have a variety of Italians, Pharaoh, and couple silvers (although I am not sure about these since there is no picture in the book). Pictures to follow.

Here are the variety that hatched.
I think this one is Italian:

This one is Pharaoh or wild color:

One of these is silver (?) and not sure about the other one:

#3 looks like a cinnamon tux, #4 maybe a silver cross?

Good luck on the remaining dozen.

Thank you for posting this thread. I have been lurking since day 1 and couldn't wait to see your babies. I can't wait to start hatching. BTW... I am new to BYT. I don't have any birds yet, but plan to start in the spring. Congratulations on your new babies.

Day 19. Water floating test remaining 12 eggs revealed no movement. Eggtopsy (I love this term!) showed 11 infertile eggs and 1 early quitter. This hatch is now complete, both incubators are off.

Thank you everyone for hatching along with me, helping, guiding, suggesting, and just lurking :D It has been fun and a very rewarding experience.

This was an awesome story, as I am reading it years after the fact...have to show my wife! I have learned a lot about the incubators as well. I will probably try the hova bator as my wife is not convince yet and the lower price will make it more palatable.
