Hello again! Still trying to figure out the intricacies of my new mixed flock! Anyone care to weigh in on whether this is a hen or roo? I'll take breed guesses too, and THEN I'll tell you what the seller said. ;)

Yay for hen! She has a more dominant and curious personality than the others, so I wondered if she might secretly be a roo. I'm obviously new at this. :)

Seller says she and her sister are EasterEggers. I know there's no breed standard, but they don't look ANYTHING like the EEs I've seen online.

I'm fine with whatever breed they are -- I just want a fun flock and eggs. :)
 
Argh. And see, the personality just screams rooster to me, based on my VERY limited knowledge. So if the majority agrees, "Nancy" is going back!

Agree that's a cockerel.

I don't see ANY EE there, either. I'd say just a hatchery Red, but those white/pink legs are throwing me. Reds have yellow legs. It's probably a mix.
 
Ok, thanks! Yeah, I think all the birds I got were mixes -- even the ones that were suppose to be pure like that CopperMarans, lol. Oh well, lesson learned for me! Birds seem happy and healthy, so for my purposes it's fine. :) Except the cockerel is getting exchanged!
