Turkey looking a bit thin??

I don't feed layer to any of my poultry. They are all feed an All Flock or a non medicated grower with oyster shells offered in a separate bowl. So it's easier if everyone eats the same feed so you don't need to worry about non laying birds getting too much calcium from the layer.

I enjoy the strutting toms too. I would enjoy Todd while you have him, keeping him slightly under weight and exercised can extend their lives, but broad breasted often have heart attacks from their increased weight.

I keep a large rubber pan filled with water during the warmer months which my turkeys will stand in to cool off, so Todd is probably hot. I would keep the pan full so he doesn't overheat. I water mine with buckets, so I don't know about getting them to use the nipples.

I will just leave his pan of water out then. I know how much he enjoys standing in it lol. I might put a nipple waterer out just so that there is actually clean water available because he gunks his up fast. Thank you for everyones help! Since Todd has been in a pen with only 2 other silkie roosters eating the game bird starter, he acts like he feels better and is getting a lot more to eat. There was just too much competition before I think!!

It has only been two weeks but I would like to report that Todd has definitely packed on a few pounds since he has been in a pen with 3 of my roos. He has been eating the game bird starter and has really filled out nicely. Yay, one thing to cross of my "To Worry About" list!

That's great news!
