Help Please

Sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound rude! I was just musing over wal mart not having something!

You can't find brewer yeast at wal mart? Wow.... I would think it would be in the baking section of any grocery market.... just ask a knowledgeable clerk for it..... It's not an unusual or difficult to find item....

OK Thank you

Wow, who'd a thunk? Now you have me wanting to run out and look for some, LOL! If it's that hard to come by, maybe I need to keep some on hand!

I normally have to go to different walmarts in my area cause they don't always have the same things..

Yeah, that's true, been there done that.....

I know you didn't ask about this, but you know to reduce the protein level to prevent angel wing, right? Here's a BYC thread on it: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/545683/cutting-the-protein-in-duckling-food.

There's obviously some debate about protein level causing angel wing, but my opinion, based on my own experience, is that it is a factor. Of 25+ ducklings hatched this year, only 1 developed angel wing, and that was before I knew to reduce the protein level in their feed. A week of wrapping in elastic bandage, and the drake's wings were perfectly fine (the condition can be corrected if caught early - if not, the duck won't be able to fly and the wings will always look strange). The particular drake was huge, grew really fast, and I think that contributed, too. None of the ducklings I've raised since I started reducing protein levels at 2 weeks have developed angel wing. Just throwing this out there - let me know if you want any more info. Maybe @n8ivetxn would also opine?
