Over the past couple days I have noticed my hens comb being a pale pink and I noticed yesterday that a few of her scales were white on each leg, And now today She had some runny poop and she was acting as though she was choking. She would tilt her head back like they do when swallowing water and she would just open her mouth wide and then close it again and go back to normal then a minute or 2 later she would do it again.. Am I overreacting? should I or shouldn't I be worried? could it be related to molting? other chicken looks fine. Any help is appreciated! :)

I would recommend quarantining her for observation for 24 hours and making sure she is getting enough food and watter. Feel her crop, look her over, ect. for abnormalities.

How long have you had her, and have you recently added any new birds? She may possibly have a respiratory disease, especially if she has nasal drainage, coughing, or wheezing. Check her crop to see if it is full, and again in morning to check if it empties overnight. Chickens will gape occasionally to a djust their crops after eating, but a crop problem could be another possibility.

Alright ChickenChaser9 I will try and hopefully be able to quarantine soon, And Eggcessive I have had her for 2 years and have not added any new chickens, But we have lost quite a few recently due to A Coyote, Would that possibly change her mood or anything? And I will go check her over right now! Thanks for the help:)

Do a search for scaly leg mites or post a picture of her leg scales. Respiratory diseases can cause some of the symptoms she is having. Those can be transmitted by wild birds, or brought home on shoes or by visitors. Crop blockages san sometimes look like a respiratory problem, so checking for sour or impacted crop may rule that out. Some use antibiotics such as oxytetracycline in the water for 7 days to treat a respiratory disease. Tylan 50 injectable can be used orally or by shots instead to treat her if she is not drinking well.
