Seems some people just dont care about other peoples flocks........
I would not buy from this kid he's been blaming everyone else about his birds getting mg and still will be breeding. He use to live in NY but moved to NC and has other people hes buying birds from that have rotovirus. Heres the message he sent to my sister after blaming her chick came out of the shell with mg. which our flocks are clean. But if anyone wants his facebook page so they can advoid buying sick birds I will. As some people have to cull there whole flock because they have mg and feel awful about it while others are breeding sick birds. If there was a way I could report him to something because if you get them tested and you have a lot with mg you are forced to cull.

That's terrible that someone would do something like that, you might be able to report him to the FDA since chickens are a source of food they might be able to do something about it. I think this is the number but you should double check, it's 1-800-535-4555

It may be variation on what each state asks to be tested
For example in nh we have to test (if you want to be npip) for p/t and AI Nothing else is required
I asked about testing for mg types and was told by two different state officials they don't rec it because it is very prevalent (and possibly spread by wild turkeys etc) in the state and is reportable so if your flock tests pos (which most in nh will) you have to destroy the flock or isolate

I am not npip yet but plan to be in the next couple years and have been wrestling with the decision to test the optional stuff or not knowing this

Hes said his have mg but never tested for it im in ny and npip only does ai the rest cost extras but he took his birds from NY to NC in a horse trailor and in a car. Im not sure thats even legal.

Where in NC? Do you know? I just bought some birds in Currituck and brought them home and they have runny noses. When I called the feed store to let them know and ask what I should do (brand new chicken keeper), they called me back and said I should vaccinate them for MG....any information is greatly appreciated!

This kid lives in roxoboro. I think its how its spelled. Lol. Id avoid the breeds pheonix and seramas as those hes has. Along with oegb and mixed birds. Hes also to pansy to cull a newly hatched quail as its intestine where hanging out...his solution just put it outside to suffer. Until something eats it.

Update this kids selling birds now that have fowl pox and corza and the mg id avoid these birds if you see them listed
