Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Alexis laughed with him, unaware that what he was laughing at was her. "Ah, it shouldn't be too hard with a little bit of this—" she then fluttered her lashes and did a kissy face as Dimitri had done earlier.

( He's actually laughing at what she'd said. Hence his statement. He's not mean like that. :) )

"Oh, very nice. Much better then my earlier rendition by far." Dimitri said good-naturedly. He was thoroughly enjoying himself.

(You can laugh at someone without being mean ;) But, thanks for the clarification :p )

"Why thank you," Alexis said, giving a little bow. Straightening, she paused to adjust her backpack. "These things are a nuisance. What really is the purpose of them if we live at the school anyway?" She wondered aloud.

( Oh, ok! I didn't want it to be taken wrong. :) )
Dimitri shrugged and added, " About the same as grown adults in college. We become beast of burden for books and higher education." He winced dramatically as he too adjusted his own strap on his shoulder.

"Well, that makes it sound terribly dark, but yes, too true," Alexis agreed. She cocked her head slightly as she thought about his comment. "Funny how some people slave away for their education, but while slaving, they usually end up missing everything else. You know what I mean?"

Dimitri nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I believe I do. Its like that saying, right? Don't miss the forest for the trees." He asked curiously.

Alexis shook her head slowly, "Never heard that one before, but I'll take your word for it." She chuckled lightly at her own ignorance.

"Well look at me, I'm actually teaching you something. I need to mark this day on the calendar. It's bound to be the first of many. " Dimitri teased her playfully.
"You're too hard on yourself, Professor. Come on, earlier you taught me all about indigo, and uh," Alexis racked her brain, trying to recall anything else. She was sure there had been something else, hence the nickname 'Professor'. "And other stuff," she finally just said.

"Ah, but you see, my lesson was lost. For it was Royal purple, not indigo blue, that they harvested from the sea slug." Dimitri said in his best professor voice. He even made a snobbish expression.
