My Pet Chicken Ghoulish Giveaway!

I always order from MPC....have since my first order of chicks. I have always received exactly what I wanted, I can select my delivery date, they have a good assortment, and I've always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful!

Gonna get some Silkies, some Speckled Sussex, some Blue Copper Marans, and some Silver Gray Dorkings. The 15 chick minimum is a pain in the hiney, but most places have that for our zip code because of how long it takes shipments to get to me and how cold it still is here in April. But boy, the popular breeds sell out early!

Edited to add: My few forays into buying feed store chicks have always been unmitigated disasters....breeds not being what was marked on the pen, a disproportionate number of roosters when they were all supposed to be pullets, days of fighting pasty butt (which many of them have in the stores) and sales people who don't know beans about what they're telling me.

Sounds like a lovely mix, I'm hoping to order too, I wanted some Olive eggers but they're pretty much sold out and I'm not sure I want to wait until June to get them :(

My plan was 2 Olive eggers, 2 Black copper marans and 2 Blue Ameraucanas, the BCM and Ameraucanas have excellent availability so l was thinking to wait and see if more Olive eggers show up. Then I saw the Dark Brahmas, I hadn't seen the breed before but they're so pretty and our Jersey Giant 'Olive' is such a sweetie it would be nice for her to have some friends her size. she's the definition of a gentle giant. So maybe 2 of the Brahmas too :)
