prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

Thank you!
Oh, YES HE IS!

With the struggles of this year, I was mentally worn down and just couldn't see where he was at in my life but he was right there waiting for me to wake up to him. The cool thing is once you are thru the rough times, you can look back and see that he was there!

I said almost the exact same thing a couple weeks ago, and I was led by a good friend (you know who you are lol) to a certain book that might interest you! It's called "The Master Weaver" by Ravi Zacharias...

It changed my view entirely. I figured I was just an insignificant speck in the world until I realized that I've been molded and changed throughout my whole life and my experiences, leading me to a specific calling...

Looking back at the grand tapestry of my life, I can see how Gods hands were working in me when I didn't even know it.

Now I can feel comfortable to," BE STILL and know that HE is God " ;)

BIG DADDY WEAVE

Redeemed Lyrics Seems like all I can see was the struggle Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past Bound up in shackles of all my failures Wondering how long is this gonna last Then You look at this prisoner and say to me "son Stop fighting a fight...it's already been won" And I am redeemed, You set me free So I'll shake off theses heavy chains And wipe away every stain now I'm not who I used to be I am redeemed I am redeemed All my life I have been called unworthy Named by the voice of my shame and regret But when I hear You whisper, "Child lift up your head" I remember oh God, You're not done with me yet And I am redeemed, You set me free So I'll shake off these heavy chains And wipe away every stain, now I'm not who I used to be Because I don't have to be the old man inside of me Cause his day is long dead and gone Because I've got a new name, a new life, I'm not the same And a hope that will carry me home I am redeemed, You set me free So I'll shake off these heavy chains And wipe away every stain, cause I'm not who I used to be I am redeemed, You set me free So I'll shake off these heavy chains And wipe away every stain, now I'm not who I used to be Oh God I'm not who I used to be Jesus I'm not who I used to be Cause I am redeemed Thank God Redeemed
All my life I have been called unworthy Named by the voice of my shame and regret But when I hear You whisper, "Child lift up your head" I remember oh God, You're not done with me yet So very blessed to not have that weight on me anymore! :)

I started this one this morning...

I made it halfway through just the intro and had to put it down because I'm in shock... He became a Christian after a suicide attempt at age 17. He begged for Jesus to show himself and it changed him.

I did the same thing! Except I got a bird... Ugh all my life trying to rationalize that bird as just a bird. How did he go so right and I went so wrong? It wasn't just a bird, it was a white dove. I asked for a sign then I rationalized it away and missed it completely. :(

It would normally make me curl up in a ball and cry and whine that I was so blind and stupid. But the truth is, it just wasn't meant to be at that time. That memory haunts me, and now this book haunts me too :p

I'm blessed to call you friend as well. I see a friend as someone who doesn't sugarcoat, will call me out when I'm being "rational", and challenge me to look at myself closer and push me into uncomfortable places in order to nurture the truth that is in me that I otherwise would overlook. A friend that is concerned more for my soul than worldy accolades.

Jesus does all that and more, and I have found that other humans can have a major part in my faith. We are all connected somehow.. It's not just the tapestry of MY life, but the tapestry of what God intends for all of us to come together to make the most glorious tapestry of all, our reconnection with our heavenly Father and His want for ALL of our fellowship, not just our worldy praise...

It's such a relief to me, the purpose of LIFE in Christ.

I'll be back to the thread later. Have a bit of a busy day planned. Have a good and blessed day. Cling to the word.

Hebrews 4:12King James Version (KJV)

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Beware any false doctrine that you encounter. Instead, test the spirits, to see if they line up with the truth.

1 John 4King James Version (KJV)

4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

My dear friends,
I humbly ask for your prayers as my community and surrounding communities were hit by a large tornado. My family was extremely lucky, as the tornado passed just a few hundred feet from our house. We only sustained minor damage and a tree landed just feet from our house. Others were not so fortunate. Entire houses destroyed, farms and grain bins demolished, and livelihoods greatly damaged. Fortunately, there are only reports of minor injuries and sadly one fatality. I ask that you keep everyone who have lost their homes and property in your prayers and especially that one family who has lost a loved one.

~Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whither soever thou goest.~Joshua 1:9

Father, we lift up to you these families and communities who have been harmed by this tornado. I pray that you will reach into their lives, offering comfort through your spiritual touch, as well as sending your people to reach out to meet the physical and emotional needs of those hit by this storm. May this be a time when all will see their need for You in their lives. In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray.
