Something in foot and red chest?

I'm new to chickens, so I really don't know what I'm dealing with here! One of my hens has almost ALWAYS had a bare chest (since I got her in May). I thought she was broody, for a while, but that's not the case, nor does she appear to have mites. Recently, however, her chest has become red and inflamed. I also noticed her foot was a tiny bit swollen and today pulled this out of the center of her foot, leaving a crater in her pad. It didn't feel like a scab-- it had the feel of a rock or something else worn down in there. I was shocked when it left a freaking HOLE in her foot pad! It seems like it was something similar to a hardened blackhead?

I have some Tylan I could give her, but anyone know what's going on? I don't want to dose her without knowing. She's my best layer, so I want her to be healthy!

Thanks! The chest really has been bare for MONTHS now-- is that normal? She's never exhibited any broody behavior, really.

It does look like Bumblefoot.

You may want to inspect it to make sure you got all the infection or "core" out of the foot. Make sure you follow-up with aftercare. Apply some triple antibiotic ointment and wrap the foot to make sure the "hole" stays clean and heals up. After a couple of days take the wrap off and see how it's doing. You can soak the foot in a warm epsom salts bath to help reduce swelling.

The breast/chest is most likely what @junebuggena suggested. Some of my layers have a few bare spots on their chests. Keep an eye on it, if you start to see anything that looks like a boil/blister then you can apply some plain neosporin or blue kote to the area.

Antibiotic treatment is usually not necessary for Bumblefoot or a naked breast, if properly taken care of.
