I have3 parakeets They have always lived together. 2 is a girl and one is a boy. Recently the 2 girls they started fighting so much and screeming at each other I mean really fighting. Rolling around on the bottom of the cage, clutched in each other claws and biting. Feathers flying everywhere.so I am thinking Oh god they will kill each other. Why would they just start fighting like that. I am afraid one of them is really going to get hurt. Anyone have parakeets or know why all of a sudden they would want to kill each other. They have always been fine together I am stumped.

You need to separate them. Females are territorial and they will fight each other over space in the cage and things such as the food and water dishes, favored toys, etc. They will also fight over the single male if they are both interested in him. And when they come into breeding condition they will get even more aggressive. If they are rolling around on the ground fighting you need to move one to another cage ASAP or they can and will seriously injure or possibly even kill each other.
