I am trying to hatch some ayam cemani chickens. I have a cheap chinese incubator and I have 7 eggs. There are 3 eggs with red rings around the edge, but they move when I move the egg. Is it a blood ring or blood vessels? I don't see much development in the other eggs. What should I do? It is the 10th day of incubating the eggs.

A photo would help.

There is no need to toss the eggs yet. I don't even candle until day 10, toss the no shows. Candle again day 14-16 to toss any that quit early. There is no danger keeping the eggs in a few more days.

The fan in the incubator stopped, so the incubator might be shot. Should I just toss all of them? I was looking at videos and none of mine have the network of blood vessels that eggs have at day 7.

Does the blood encircle the whole shell? I'm thinking it's a blood ring, mainly because it moves when you turn the egg. Blood vessels would be more stationary, I think....

Like Egghead, I didn't remove any of mine until day 14..... Good Luck to you...

The bottom edge of the CAM *can look* like a blood ring, but it does shift when the egg is moved... blood rings usually don't move when the egg is moved that I have ever seen... the blood is pooled against the shell...

ETA: leave the eggs... if no smell, no harm in staying in longer...
