Charente Maritime, France
Hi! Just thought I would introduce myself. I live in the Charente Maritime in France and started with 3 hens initially. I was given a Cock and more recently I've introduced (over time) 6 new Hens so in total I have 10! In terms of the breeds, I have to admit I am not entirely sure as they are all different but certainly a Sussex. I also believe they have different breed names for them here in France.
I found out about BackYardChicked by googling and I am now glad to be here and to share what I now find to be an interesting hobby.
In terms of myself I also cycle and from a work aspect I am a Criminology Consultant having recently retired from the UK Police Service.
I look forward to learning more and thus helping my own chickens to have an enjoyable life.
Best wishes,
John

Cheers

Hello John, so glad you have joined us.

Introducing newbies to the flock can be challenging, would love to hear the details of how you accomplished it.
