Does anyone have any advise to keep my chickens out of my neighbors yard? I love having my chickens free range my 2 acre yard but they have started to get into my neighbors flower beds and tree mulch. I hate to fence them in but looks as if I have no choice.
thanks
Jeff

I find this fencing to be indispensable. I have not felt the need to electrify it yet, but its ease of setup/movement/adjustment makes it a wonderful tool for being a good neighbor. I wish they had a 5' product because I've got a few hens that will hop this 4'. Some tactical wing-clipping might be needed for repeat offenders.

If a chicken finds the pickings slim or bored, then they will wander. To better pickings or a place where they feel comfortable hanging out. A chicken can easily range more then a hundred yards from the coop, more if they have a reason, like nice mulch to dig in. So even if your coop is in the center of your lot the neighbors property line, as you have found out, is in easy reach. Unless you tie them up fencing is the only way to keep them home.
